Super Quality Steel Type
Our steel type is meticulously engraved for accuracy, strength and alignment. Made of high grade tool steel, the type is precision heat-treated for severe usage.
The thickness of standard super quality steel type is equivalent to the character size (except 1/32" type). For example, 1/8" characters are engraved on blank
1/8" wide. Thus 8 pieces of 1/8" type would be 1" long. However, condensed or extra condensed characters are available to shorten space requirements. Other character styles may require extra wide blanks. Contact factory for quotes on your requirements.

Compatibility
Standard stocked steel type is notched to be used in Hitt Marking Devices Model 22, Model 23, and Model 24 Type Holders. The notch also serves as a locating mark for proper character orientation in holders where a set screw is used instead of a type retaining pin. Standard Straight Steel Type with Notch.
